Lately, I’ve become really interested in stocks, investments, and spending my money responsibly. I started off by asking my friends and family for advice and discovering how they spend their money. They all told me a little about their spending habits, mortgage rates, loans and credit cards but all agreed that I should go to my local bank for some advice. Above all, this gave me the push I needed to seek help from a “stranger.”
To my surprise, I actually got some really helpf ul tips fr om the financ ial advisor. They sugges ted tha t I g et a cr ed it c ard and loans to pay off my expenses at much lower interest rates. I never even realized how high the interest rates I had were and how much money I was pouri ng do wn t he drain. Before, I would jus t apply for the first loan and credit card I saw availa ble- clearly not a good idea.

I was also introduced to the works of stalks, investments, savings and getting the most out of my income. I quickly started a fantastic savings account that allows me to make 6% off of the balance. I never knew you could actually make money by doing absolutely nothing- the money literally just sits in the account and builds (amazing I know). Stalks are a little tricky to work with, but I am reading up on how they work on my own. They can be a little risky; however, with research and a clear understanding of how the system works you can make a lot of money!
So far, I’ve been really happy with my financial decisions. My loans, credit card, investments and stalks are doing really well. I seem to have a lot more control on my economic situation and my stress and anxiety has definitely alleviated. I am thankful that my friends guided me in the right direction to Scotiabank- overall great service and results. I am more than satisfied!
